At first glance, Hoka's latest shoe, the Clifton Edge could be either. Hoka One One recently made headlines with the release of its TenNine trail shoe, a design that looks more like a cartoon than a serious piece of kit for the outdoors. It was, however, a shoe with a purpose, specifically for those runners that take on severe downhills.
Let me just start by saying I love Hoka One One Cliftons - 3, 5, and most recently 6. They always work out best for me, I run 2-3 times a week. I was very enthusiastic to try out Clifton Edge but unfortunately, they disappointed me. They felt slightly smaller, and even though they say neutral, they feel more like stability shoes.

The Hoka One One Clifton Edge 2020 is a commendable running shoe, ideal for short to medium runs (5-15kms). They offer a responsive ride with a bit more feel than the average running shoe. However, be mindful of their snug fit, making it essential to try them on before purchasing.
